Recently we start writing about our favorite tech we’re a team of graphic designers, writers as well as photographers and videographers. Our first article was about a great software called ‘Clean My Mac’ from the founders of MacPaw who developed a series of software that will help keep your PCs and MACs running smoothly especially when you have a lot of files like us weighing down your computer. The following review is from one of the photographers we have on our little staff check it out.
I’ve personally been a long time user of this particular software. It’s made by Anthropotics Technology Ltd. This company created Portrait Professional in 2007 its goal was to automatically improve the appearance of faces in images. In 2008 they put out their first version of the software that ran independently off servers.
They launched Portrait Pro 15 in 2015, but I wasn’t ready to upgrade just yet – I had gotten comfortable with the previous version (v.12) and wasn’t sure if I’d love the welcomed changed until I drove deeper into the software. I personally fell in love with it immediately! What I love most about this software it doesn’t venture off very far from the original design meaning though they’ve had new features it’s still the same controls and short cuts that I’ve become accustomed to.
One my favorite features in their software is to be able to sharpen the eyes and clean the eyes of my subjects – often times we’re dealing with allergies and a lot of clients have redness or slight discoloration in their eyes due to irritation – it use to take me extended time to correct this in the older version of Photoshop when I first got started with this software, but PortraitPro has made this process PAINLESS.
The newest addition is makeup controls and is an amazing change. My favorite thing so far is adding in lashes, and mascara when needed. Ladies spend hours on their makeup daily and a lot of ladies love it when their eyes pop in their Bridal Portraits, Headshots and Beauty Portraits – Check out some of my recent edits using Portrait Pro.

I do a lot of cooperate and modeling headshot sessions for the businessman & the budding model – makeup isn’t a big issue with guys thankfully, however, making sure facial hair, and skin complexion is in great shape is easy when we’re using Portrait Pro – Check out some before and after images.
Another thing I love about the software is we can change eye color using a ‘contact lens’ like a filter. IF you’re trying to portray a certain feeling in images say you want to try out blue eyes and brown hair or you want to brighten the ‘Iris’ on your client so their eyes pull you in it’s easy with portrait pro.

This little guy had slightly dry lips, but we were able to clean it up and bring out those little gorgeous eyes!
This little one caught me off guard by climbing in the tree. I didn’t have time to adjust my settings and bring in more detail and I just shot while I could – I, unfortunately, didn’t capture the sharpness in her eyes originally, however, with this software I was able to bring some of the detail back into her sweet little face and fall in love with the images even more.
As a busy photographer there’s nothing thats more important than a software that makes my job slightly easier – I’m thankful for PortraitPro and the tools they’ve given with their portrait pro software – Check out more images here and check out how you can download the demo as well!
Also – Check out their special deals! A great price for multiple softwares! Looking forward to trying PortraitPro Body edition next!
