Interview with Recording Artist ‘Marquo’ @MarquoPolo11

He wants to change the state of music. “It’s not like it use to be I want to get the game back to where it use to be I want to impact the music industry lke PAC.”

 

We got the opportunity to speakwith Hiphop recording artist ‘Marquo’ from Houston, Texas. Influenced by Artist like Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, and 2Pac. His heroes and biggest supporters are his mother and father as well as his Great Grandmother and his dad’s mother. “they support everything I do, encourage me and cheer me on when I need it the most.”

We wanted to know one of the first songs he memorized word for word and it was Tupac’s son ‘Dear Momma’. He’s cometely focused on his music. “I practice daily, I’m in the studio constantly writing, recording, getting a feeling for the recording and making sure what I’m putting out is worthy.”

20506946_158586548047587_5004817115460923942_oHe’s performed with the Coast 2 Coast tour as well as Warehouse Live. “I’ve had some pretty dope experiences.”

If we stole his phone we’d find his playlist consisting of J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Tupac, all of his friends music and other indie artist. “I keep a lot of indie music on my phone.”

He wants to change the state of music. “It’s not like it use to be I want to get the game back to where it use to be I want to impact the music industry lke PAC.”

If he’s not working on music or his day job you’ll find him watching Power, enjoying some friend chicken and some of his cousin Cookie’s sweet tea.

If he wasn’t a musican he’d be making his way to the NFL with his Father and Brother cheering him on.
