Our talk with Author of ‘Syncfluence’ @Yaagneshwaran Ganesh

Syncfluence shows why you don't have to burn cash to become influential, and also makes you deeply introspective about whom to influence, when and how. In short “Syncfluence” is all about establishing synchronized influence with your target audience.

We had the opportunity to speak with Author Yaagneshwaran Ganesh who was number 64 on the Martech Top 100 Global Influencers as well as an author, columnist and the Director of Marketing at FIInd, INC.

This accidental author admits “I didn’t believe I would publish a book until someone was willing to really publish it. My first few books were huge failures, but I stuck to writing and started enjoying the process.”  He started off as a fiction writer but soon realized he was not in sync with his audience. “All my energy and speaking were focused around the marketing domain. Thus, started my first marketing book titled ‘Is it your marketing in sync or sinking?’  It was originally just a mocking question to myself.”

 

His newest book Syncfluence was an idea that come to him at a MarketingSync workshops. “These workshops focused on marketing synchronicity on a strategic level. People wanted something actionable and it was the year of the influencer marketing. That was the spark for Syncfluence.

Some people, companies and products grow and become influential brands within a short period of time, while others remain invisible to the public eye despite all their efforts. How do they do it with almost no money? Syncfluence shows why you don’t have to burn cash to become influential, and also makes you deeply introspective about whom to influence, when and how. In short “Syncfluence” is all about establishing synchronized influence with your target audience.

 

Never look at it as influencer marketing or hiring influencers – look at it as “what are the points of influence, how do I establish a good customer experience and thereby also influence them.” It’s a journey from the heart to the mind to the wallet.

 

He believes that social media has it place. “I believe in building genuine relationships and that it needs to be Omni channel.

 

His favorite quote is ‘Don’t waste your time with explanations: people only hear what they want to hear.” – Paulo Coelho

 

When he’s not working on books and marketing you’ll find him still researching, talking to people and trying to learn something new daily. He has aspirations to be more active with the startup business community.
